This post is all about Ivy.

In honor of her second birthday over the weekend, we wanted to share what her two years with us have consisted of.

They say that dogs age faster than humans, which makes a lot of sense when it comes to Ivy. She hit her terrible twos way before her second birthday…

Just wait, we have a lot of photos to back that up.

As you all know, my little chocolate lab goes by two names –  Ivy and Izzy. Ivy is always on her best behavior and wants to do nothing but love you. But Izzy…well, Izzy is the completely opposite. She destroys everything in her path and nothing can stop her.

When we come home from work and something isn’t as it’s expected to be, we ask “did you do that?”. The look on the girl’s faces will tell you who did it – and 99% of the time, Izzy is the guilty one.

We’ve created a compilation of “did you do that?”. Likely one of the most used phrases in our house.

We’ll let you be the judge on if she’s guilty…

Yup, she did that. All of that – and believe it or not, those aren’t all the photos.

Yikes!

Although she’s a tiny troublemaker, she is the cuddliest and happiest girl I’ve ever met when she isn’t getting into something.

In the off chance she hasn’t completely destroyed the house, she’s got something else – our shoes.

As mentioned in a previous post, our shoes and socks are a small token of love that Ivy likes to lay with to remind her of us while we’re gone.

Often times I have to locate the shoes I’ve taken out to wear for the day, because she’s already gotten ahold of them and tucked them into the couch or hidden them in her bed.

So this next compilation is of my little shoe stealer. The alter ego of the destructive Izzy.

My loyal, little Ivy.

It’s hard to believe that two years ago, Addie became a mom for the first time and created such an amazing journey for us all to enjoy.

She’s been the inspiration behind The Blog of a Dog and has brought joy to so many families with all of her puppies.

She’s a Boss Mom – and would do anything to protect her family.

I’m hopeful that as Ivy gets older, she’ll phase out of her terrible two stage and start taking some chapters out of Addie’s book (or at least a few pages ideally).

They have both kept us on our toes, brought happiness into our lives and given us more licks and love than we could ask for.
