This week, we were sent some awesome new dog bones to try from Bow Wow Labs!
But the coolest part – they came with a holder, the Bully Buddy, so the dogs cant choke when the bone gets too small!
The Bully Buddy is the blue device, shown in the picture above. Using it is simple – you insert one of their Bully Sticks into the middle section, and twist the top of the Bully Buddy to secure the stick into place. You can tell they’ve created the sticks to screw perfectly into the device for the safety of your pet. Locking the stick in place prevents any choking on the end of the bone for your dog when it gets too small!
The Bully Buddy comes in a variety of sizes, which depends on your dog’s weight and breed. Pictured is the Medium (purple top) and Large (green top) as the girls are in the range of both sizes. Addie really enjoyed the larger one, as it was perfect for her to grip her paw around and hold her treat in place. We have LOVED using the Bully Buddy and Bully Sticks for the girls. Not only do I know they’re safe while enjoying a yummy treat, but they are durable and last for a while! As you can see, Ivy was chewing as hard and as fast as she could…and she wasn’t destroying the stick right away.
The girls could not chomp them quick enough!
Addie though, definitely put the Bully into Bully Buddy the first time around. The treat was too small for her to chew, and the Bully Buddy was doing it’s job – keeping the end of the treat securely in the place so she wouldn’t choke. Ivy already was done with hers and decided to go sniff Addie’s to see what was taking her so long.
Addie was already frustrated – gnawing at a treat that she’ll never get…and Ivy was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Addie barked at Ivy and pinned her to the couch…
She didn’t bite her, but wanted her to know she should keep her paws off of the treat!
I mean, have you ever had a gnat fly around you at a BBQ? I’m sure you know how annoying they can be…and little Izzy was being a little gnat.
Addie knew she was a bad girl…
Now when she gets her Bully Buddy, she runs to her own spot across the room, and Ivy keeps her distance…
Even though she was naughty, you can see how happy the Bully Stick makes her!
We are so lucky to have found the Bully Buddy, and are happy that we’re giving our girls treats that are good for them and only made with Grass-fed, Free-range Beef. By giving them these Bully Sticks, I know I’m helping remove plaque and tartar from their teeth to support their Dental Health, and by providing that treat in a Bully Buddy, I know I’m keeping them safe from choking.
