Both my girls can be very…clingy. Since starting to work at home, I am never away from them. I’m also the one who feeds them, which I’m sure attributes to them constantly following me.
You know that song that goes “every move you make, every step you take, I’ll be watching you”…well, I think they wrote it about dogs.
I cannot do anything, and I mean anything without my little followers. We go room to room together, and if we stop for any amount of time, they must lay as close as they possibly can to me. More often than not, I trip over them and then apologize for stepping on them, even though they were the ones who decided to immediately lay where I’m walking.
Even when I’m in the shower – Addie lays on the matt on the floor, and Ivy well climbs into the shower. Need to pee? Don’t worry mom, we’ll lay on your feet and watch the door to make sure no one comes in.
Although at times, it is a bit irritating, it really makes you feel loved unconditionally. I could be sick or angry, or anything really…and they’ll be there with me.
I guess I’m officially apart of their pack.
Today’s Lesson: plain and simple – loyalty.
