Buds & Suds

When we had puppies, I was having a hard time deciding who I wanted to keep…

Ivy (Rosie at the time) was a cute little brown lab who had a loud bark, but I liked this quiet little black lab named Lilly, too.

She was so sweet (and quiet!). I’d flip her over in my arms and she’d just lay there while I rubbed her belly. She was the absolute sweetest girl.

It was the day before the puppies were going to their new homes, and I had to decide who I wanted to be our newest family member.

Based on their personalities, we thought Ivy would’ve gotten along and played better with Addie. She was a little more outgoing and I hoped would help tire Addie out.

So unfortunately, Lilly had to go to her new home.

I had a specific family in mind whom I really wanted her to end up with. Her sweet and quiet demeanor would be perfect for them. And I knew they lived locally, so my chances of seeing her were pretty good.

The way the puppy-pickings worked out, Lilly was available still when the family I had in mind was coming.

When the family came to pick out their puppy – they brought me some amazing hand-made soaps. There were so many different kinds and they all smelt so good. They were beautifully poured and contained a list of the ingredients on them. I had so many to choose from, I didn’t know where to begin!

They were ready to pick out their puppy and I was hoping Lilly was on her best behavior. They were torn between the remaining girls, but ended up picking my little Lilly! I was excited for their choice and happy to see her go to such a loving family.

Lucky for us, Ivy and I get to see Lilly often for walks. And even luckier that Sue’s Scentsational Soaps now offers Puppy Soap!

The first time we used them, we loved them! The girls HATE taking tubs, but I usually can bribe them with peanut butter long enough to get them to stand there (for a short period of time at least).

I rub peanut butter all over the shower walls, and hope that there’s enough for them to last me long enough to wash them thoroughly.

The soap lathered great which made it quick and easy to get on them and washed off before they ran out of peanut butter. The smell was refreshing and the ingredients they’re made with help combat fleas and ticks – can’t beat that!

Sue’s Scentsational Soaps currently offer a few different scents to their puppy soaps, but Sue is always creating new combinations and trying new scents.

Since Addie and Ivy love to swim, I decided to cut one of the soaps into little pieces to use as “one-time-bars”. They worked great and there was no waste.

If your dogs are swimmers like the girls, you HAVE to try Sue’s Scentsational Soaps (or for human soaps too!). They are made with essential oils and are really healthy for you and your pups skin!

I’ve always thought you meet people for a reason, and I (& the girls) are happy to have Lilly and her family as part of our Pack. Not only do the girls looks good playing together, but they smell good too!

Overall Puppy Rating: 5 out of 5 Paws

Thank you to Sue’s Scentsational Soaps for sharing their awesome bubbly creations with us!
