Ok, this is probably one of the most fun products we’ve been lucky enough to review…and I will be taking it with me everywhere we go!
This is Spleash!
Spleash is a multipurpose tool that attaches to your existing dog leash and provides fun and useful components to your walk!
The longer you spend walking with your dog, the amount of stuff you need to carry for them starts to increase…
For those longer walks, packing a bowl and water is essential…but not always easy to do. Carrying a water bottle is a bit bulky and there is never an easy way to juggle carrying one along with holding the leash and all the other extras you might have.
But this product, solves that for you!
Spleash is an easy add-on that holds 12oz of water for drinking and doubles as a bowl! The Spleash flips open, so you can spray the water right into a bowl for your dog to drink! So not only do you not have to carry that uncomfortable bottle of water, but you don’t need to carry a bowl either! It’s so CONVENIENT and INNOVATIVE!
The water is securely held inside the Spleash and is very comfortable to carry. Holding the Spleash feels just like you’re carrying a retractable leash – except it’s way more convenient and safer for you and your pet!
Did you say safer? Yup! We’ll get there…
The Spleash fits very comfortably in your hand really doesn’t add much weight at all. Since the water is sealed in so well, I just held it in my hand, dangling until I needed it. It was surprisingly ergonomic for the amount of water it holds!
You can quickly and easily hook your favorite leather, rope or nylon leash under the cam wheel and you’re ready to go on your walk! The cam wheel and cam opening is the place that securely holds your Spleash onto your existing leash and does not slip whatsoever.
Even when Addie and Ivy would start to pull, there was no slip in the Spleash at all.
So let’s get this straight – the Spleash not only carries your dog’s drinking water, but also contains a bowl…and I can attach it to the leash I already love to use?
YES, but wait…there’s more!
The Spleash can also be used as a squirt gun to spray away unleashed animals without harming them! So not only can you use the water inside to drink, but you can use it for protection!
As you can see in the picture below, there is a squirt gun trigger right on the handle of the Spleash for a quick and responsive action in the scenario you need to use it.
We were fortunate on our walk that we didn’t need to fend off any unleashed dogs – but we did have to fend off some unleashed squirrels!
Lucky for us, the Spleash sprays up to 14 feet away and is pretty accurate. As soon as we sprayed, the squirrels climbed back into their trees (we still were able to reach them there though… ?)
Although the spray function is useful for protection, I actually found it worked well to spray at the girls and regain their focus here and there. I didn’t do it as many times as the squirrels got…but it worked really well!
