After all these weeks, Addie still loves her babies. I guess I didn’t really expect anything less, but I thought she would maybe get sick of them. They’re pretty independent but always try to nurse off of her. She get’s a little annoyed, but they figure it out.

This has been the most incredible journey. The time with family, friends and furballs has been great. Unfortunately, it’s finally time to pick out who we want to keep, and I cannot decide. The family has an idea of their favorite, but I love them all as my own.

Quarantine began right as Addie had her babies. I was lucky enough to work at home, so I have never left these pups since the day they were born. They all have such different personalities and idiosyncrasies, it makes it difficult to decide who should join our family.

I tried to factor in who Addie would get along with best, but she has no favorites. We let her in the pen with them and she jumps like crazy. She looks like a kid, jumping for joy in a candy store. Pure excitement beams across her face and she couldn’t be happier. Unfortunately we have to cut her play time short, so she doesn’t step on her babies with the jumps.

The family finally came to a group decision, and know whoever we pick would’ve been the perfect fit for our family.

It was time for all the little ones to go to their new home…

All of the families who took home one of Addie’s puppies were great. I couldn’t believe how many people wanted a four-legged friend from my little girl. Along the 8 weeks, I’ve grown closely with many families, and they’ve followed the adventures of their babies along the way. I can’t wait for them to experience the love and lessons I’ve enjoyed over the past two years.

Today’s lesson: time fly’s. Enjoy every moment while you can. Live in the moment and don’t take it for granted.
